I liked the movie, but they screwed up the ending and the two main characters just felt too different to me. I'm sure I cried in both, but the book had me sobbing my guts out. I remember my dog sitting next to me while I read and looking at me like I'd lost my mind!

As for Anne, I *gasp* haven't read or watched either one...I think I have the first Anne book somewhere, and I know I have seen a little bit of the movie.Jenhttp://www.literallyjen.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1419904098989228942.post-55760634530312737692012-07-11T14:50:27.947-07:002012-07-11T14:50:27.947-07:00Can't comment on The Notebook, but Anne! Oh, that was one that went through my head as I considered this topic, too, because I love the first two movies (don't get me started on the third), but I just love L.M. Montgomery's writing too much to have put it on my list. Oh, wow, I can't even tell you. I think they introduced me to the term "sexual tension" -- Gilbert and Anne's chemistry was amazing. And I love Megan Follows.
