Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers: 

"Esmerine raked her fingers through her hair, checking that her beads were still in place before she returned to the main room for hugs and congratulations."

"She knew the routine from when Dosia had become a siren, and although she blushed and said humble things, she was secretly pleased to have a little piece of the attention Dosia had gotten for so long."

    Thanks guys! I took the picture about a few minutes away from my house at one of the many local lakes. I realize it's not rainy in that picture as my blog title explains my surroundings to be, but it reminds me of the lake in my Dark Waters book. :)

    I've seen this book in the store. Those are quite good for teaser sentences. I'm reading a nonfiction book right now, so I won't post any, but it's definitely something cool for later.
